Irene Castellano-Risco is a lecturer at the University of Extremadura, Spain, where she teaches modules related to English for Specific Purposes. Her research interests concern vocabulary acquisition, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), EFL learning and teaching and language learning strategies. Ana Mª Piquer-Píriz is a lecturer at the Faculty of Education (University of Extremadura, Spain) where she teaches undergraduate courses to teacher trainees and postgraduate courses in the Master’s programme ‘Master in Bilingual Education through English for Primary and Secondary school teachers’. Her research interests concern EFL learning and teaching, L2 vocabulary acquisition, figurative language and, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Cristina Manchado Nieto es Doctora en Innovación en Formación del Profesorado por la Universidad de Extremadura. Es Licenciada en Traducción e Interpretación (itinerario inglés y francés) por la Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Sevilla), tiene un Doble Magíster en Comercio Internacional y Marketing, un Máster Universitario en Formación del Profesorado por la Universidad Europea de Madrid, y un Máster Universitario de Investigación en Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas por la Universidad de Extremadura. Es profesora en el Área de Didáctica de las Lenguas y la Literatura, del Departamento de Didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales, las Lenguas y la Literatura, de la Universidad de Extremadura. Pertenece al grupo de investigación EduTransforma-T. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en la educación bilingüe y en la didáctica de las lenguas extranjeras.
